What is CHAADA?
CHAADA stands for Children & Adults Against Drugging America.  We are a member based organization.  There are absolutely no fees or dues required for membership, just an authentic desire to raise awareness about the dangers of psychotropic medications or a desire to learn more about the harm these medications cause.  By joining together, we can and will make an enormous difference.
The Founding of CHAADA:
CHAADA was founded in December 2005.  The three co-founders have all been directly affected by the dangerous, mind-altering, and life-threatening effects of psychotropic medications, either personally and/or with loved ones.  We all committed previously on our own and then united to speak out for the thousands who have lost their lives to these drugs.  We strongly feel that there is a desperate need for advocacy on the behalf of those who have already been harmed with short or long-term effects, dependency, death, or trauma and/or loss of a loved one. Even more important is advocacy on behalf of  innocent children and others that are still unaware of the dangers of the prescriptions they are consuming each day. Until the FDA, pharmaceutical companies, and media understand the urgency of these issues, it is left up to the victims and those knowledgeable about the dangers of psychiatric labeling and intervention to be the ones to educate the public. We feel that each and every voice speaking out will make a difference.
Is CHAADA a religious based organization?
No, CHAADA is not a religious organization and is not affiliated with any particular denomination or religious belief system.  We encourage others to embrace their own personal faiths or belief systems if they find comfort or strength in that manner.
